This 96V DC/DC converter from Querom enables bidirectional coupling of different voltage levels. A comprehensive software package enables control of the energy flow direction as well as the current and voltage. For simple system integration, the converter also offers a 24V output with 150W, which can be used to supply control devices such as PLCs (programmable logic controllers). The system impresses with a high power density, a high efficiency of up to 98.5% and useful control and diagnostic functions for simple system integration.

Hardware
The DDL5096-96 is a bidirectional DC/DC converter that enables energy transfer between two connections (port A and port B). In downward operation, it lowers the voltage when energy flows from port A to port B. When energy flows in the opposite direction, from port B to port A, the converter switches to boost mode and increases the voltage at port A. In addition, a separate port C, which is connected in parallel to port A, has inrush current limiting, which enables simple connection to power supply units and chargers.
24V output: With an output of 150W, the 24VDC output provides a reliable power supply for control units, sensors or fans.
CAN bus system: The flexible CAN bus system allows users to configure all parameters individually and read out measured values and status information conveniently.
Sleep-Pin: For maintenance work or rest periods, the converter can be set to an energy-saving sleep mode, the functionality of which can be customized.
Sense line: The connected energy storage units can be monitored precisely via sense lines in order to control the energy flow optimally.
Housing: Integration in other housings possible.
Cooling: Contact cooling due to high efficiency.
Safety: Overtemperature, open-circuit and short-circuit proof.
Software
The DDL5096-96 is complemented by a flexible software package with a modular design and numerous functions.
Real-time diagnostics: The system enables measured values such as voltage, current and temperature to be retrieved. In combination with status and error messages, users or higher-level control systems receive a detailed process overview and can react quickly to various events.
Setpoints: Various parameters can be adjusted either via preset values or directly during operation via the communication interface. Voltage and current controls can be configured as well as limit and threshold values.
Interface: The integrated CAN2.0B bus allows extensive customization even during operation. Users can individually define the baud rate, the length of the IDs and the frame identifiers. The cyclical transmission of frames can also be modified.
Options: Specific functions such as charging profiles, event-controlled behavior or protection mechanisms for short circuit and overload can be integrated with little effort. Power reduction (derating) in the event of overtemperature is also easy to implement.

The DDL5096-96 is a versatile control unit designed as a central power component for demanding applications. This DC/DC converter has been specially developed for
- Mobile applications,
- Systems with accumulators and supercapacitors,
- the coupling of different voltage levels.
Due to its wide voltage range, the DDL5096-96 is suitable for a wide variety of applications and is already being used successfully in numerous industries. Typical applications include fuel cell systems, logistics and transportation systems as well as in the aerospace industry.

Application: A powerful laser is connected to a 48V energy storage unit with the aid of the DDL5096-96
Integration: The high power requirement is covered by connecting several DCDC converters in parallel. In addition to the precise regulation of the supply voltage using predefined control parameters, the energy storage is monitored at the same time and important system information is made available via the communication interface.
Result: Mobile operation of the system is possible without a diesel generator and therefore without pollutant emissions and noise emissions.
